Born in Vienna and raised in Cairo, with an Austrian father and an Egyptian mother, I grew up speaking three languages (German, English and Arabic). I am delighted to offer my services to you in any of these languages!

As an experienced eye surgeon and Clinical Lead of the Macula & Vitreoretinal Services at the St. John of God Vienna, I am committed to providing you with individual advice and support of the highest level.

My well-founded specialist training in Scotland, where I was already assisting in the operating theatre from day one and learned various surgical techniques and therapies, speaks to my wide range of expertise. I also had the privilege of working with excellent British consultants, specialising in paediatric ophthalmology, strabismus, and glaucoma.

Following my Senior Vitreoretinal Fellowship, I underwent specialist training in vitreous and retinal surgery at the Birmingham Midland Eye Center (BMEC), one of the largest eye centres in Europe. There, I performed numerous complex retinal operations and had the opportunity to learn from some of the top specialists in eye surgery.

As a father of two, I recognise the importance of treating children with patience and understanding. Therefore, it is particularly important to me to take good care of my young patients.

As a passionate ophthalmologist and eye surgeon, I am eager to share my knowledge and expertise with you to help preserve your eyesight in the best possible way.
