Cataract

Cataracts are a common age-related condition that can lead to a gradual clouding of the eye's natural lens, resulting in a deterioration in vision.

To treat cataracts, the cloudy lens is surgically removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens. This procedure is typically performed as a day surgery using anesthetic drops. In most cases, patients do not require hospitalization, although some may require general anesthesia. Additionally, cataract surgery can be performed in combination with other eye surgeries, such as those for glaucoma or retina conditions.
